From the boat launch at Deep Creek you will travel approx. 30 minutes to 1 hour to prime halibut grounds. Fishing for halibut offers lots of action and the chance to hook a fish that can weigh between 20lbs. - 200lbs. Halibut are one of the finest eating fish from the sea. Limits are caught on a regular basis.
Cook Inlet (Deep Creek) is located 50 miles south of Soldotna and is home to some of the finest saltwater fishing that Alaska has to offer. You'll troll the waters of Cook Inlet for migrating King Salmon heading for their spawning streams. These fish range in weight from 20lbs. - 50lbs. During the slack tide you'll head out to deeper water to fish for Pacific Halibut that range in weight from 15lbs. - 200lbs.
